Silver is unique among anti-microbial agents. It has been claimed to kill some 650 different disease organisms. And unlike antibiotics, Silver is an 'equal opportunity destroyer' - it doesn't discriminate, but effectively kills germs of all major types: gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, spore-forming bacteria, fungus/yeasts, viruses and protozoa parasites.
Silver is a metal (not a chemical) with antibacterial and antimicrobial properties. Norwex uses silver particles that have been reduced in size and integrated into our synthetic microfiber. The silver agent is irreversibly bound to a polymer, so it becomes a physical part of the fiber. It is permanent and performance does not diminish over time.
Norwex microfiber does not allow bacterial and fungal growth within the microfiber itself. This eliminates cross-contamination between surfaces or from a surface to your hands.
